Announcing
THE DAVE PERRY TEAM RACING CLINIC
MAY 31 & JUNE 7, 2016
Hosted by the Old Greenwich Yacht Club
with the support of Indian Harbor Yacht Club
NOTICE OF CLINIC
This two-session Clinic will be coached by Dave Perry. Dave is well known for his highly instructive, interactive and fun clinics. A five-time, and current reigning, U.S. National Match Racing champion and a two-time Congressional Cup champion, Dave is also a 2-time Hinman Masters Champion, and active participant in the current club-level keelboat team racing circuit. He is also the author of three books on racing, including the best seller Winning in One-Designs, which he will have available for sale and signing at the clinic.
Dave will coach the tactics and strategies needed to be competitive and successful in Team Racing, including the Pre-Start, Upwind and Downwind Tactics plays. On the water, Dave will run the sailors through all the scenarios, with on-the-spot feedback, and video replay after sailing. In addition, he will give much instruction and feedback on how to handle and sail an Ideal 18 fast.

TARGET SAILORS
The clinic is targeted for adult sailors (18 and older) who are interested in learning about team racing, and in improving their sailing skill level. No team racing experience is needed or expected. This event is geared to Intermediate & Advanced level racers.
REGISTRATION
This event is open to OGYC members, and IHYC members. Non-OGYC members must make arrangements with their fleet captains to provide Ideal 18s for their use at this event, including tow service to and from OGYC.
Space is limited and registration will be on a first come, first served basis until the clinic is filled. Please register as soon as possible.
Depending on the amount of people registered and the number of boats available, there may be a need for some skipper and crew rotations and change-outs to enable everyone to have some tiller time.

The boats used will be supplied Ideal 18’s.

The clinic fee is $100 per person, which includes the use of the boats, coaching with video replay, and dinner (pizza, beer and soft drinks).
